Ballymalis Castle is lovely a ten minute walk along the River Laune. The house comes with free fishing rights on the river for Salmon & Sea Trout.

The majestic McGillycuddy Reeks provide a scenic backdrop for Fishing on the River Laune. Our Holiday Home is situated right on the river with free fishing rights for Salmon & Sea Trout Fishing. No need to drive, everything you need for your Fishing Holiday is here with magnificent views of Carrauntoohil.

Carrauntoohil is Ireland’s highest mountain at a height of 1039m. It’s a challenging climb, but it’s also truly magnificent.

The Reeks, with 27 individual peaks, are Ireland’s highest mountain range and cover an area of around 100 square kilometres from the Gap of Dunloe in the east to Glencar in the west. Up to 25,000 hill walkers go adventuring through their vales and hills every year – it’s a brilliant playground! If you would like a guided climb we recommend kerryclimbing.ie

We welcome you to Luxury Castle Lodge

On arrival we would like to welcome you with home baking and some wine to enjoy with your stay. This tastefully old world styled newly built house (2019) replaces the original 100 year old stone house that has been in the same family for generations. The hall way links the open plan kitchen and dining room to a cosy style sitting room and downstairs bedroom with an en-suite equipped with a stand alone bath.

Upstairs you will find a landing which connects two bedrooms both with their own en-suites and also a relaxing snug to read or spend time on your computer in peace and quiet.

For your peace of mind and your possessions the house is equipped with an alarm system and a separate lockable garage for your sports equipment.We have also equipped the house with a child's high chair and travel cot. For our USA guests we have American plus adaptors built into our wall sockets.
